The Duchess of Cornwall attends Anna Valentine fashion show at the Royal Courts of Justice
Having successfully hosted the 25th British Fashion Awards in December 2009 - which saw the likes of Victoria Beckham, Kate Moss and Vivienne Westwood in attendance - on 11 February the Royal Courts of Justice hosted another fashion orientated event, the Anna Valentine charity fashion show. HRH The Duchess of Cornwall attended the event, hosted by actor Rupert Everett.
On arrival guests were treated to a Champagne and canapι reception in the venues Costume Gallery followed by a catwalk show in the main hall. An after show party concluded the event with delicious bowl food and drinks. The exciting menu was designed by chef Tom Aikens and created by caterers Rhubarb.
The catwalk show was Valentines first public launch of a collection in five years and showcased her Spring/ Summer collection, attracting 400 guests and raising money for charity Maggies Cancer Caring Centres of which the Duchess of Cornwall was made president in 2008. The centres provide emotional and practical support to anyone affected by cancer.
Gavin Marshall, Head of Corporate Events, Royal Courts of Justice said 'Anna Valentine is a leading designer in the British couture scene, having famously designed The Duchess of Cornwalls wedding gown. Her catwalk show was a great success and highlights yet again the versatility of the Royal Courts of Justice as a creative events space.'
