Accessible choice of superb venues ‘On Dublin’s Doorstep’

With transport connections better than ever, Dublin and its surrounding region are now a very realistic proposition for conferences, meetings and hospitality events- and in the wonderful countryside beyond the city itself, there’s a superb range of very experienced venues.
In partnership with a group of the region’s hotels, The Irish National Tourism Development Agency - Failte Ireland - has developed a significant initiative to communicate the benefits of the area to event organisers across Britain. We talked to Failte Ireland’s Deirdre Cole about it.

The ten exceptional venues that are part of ‘On Dublin's Doorstep’ range from the historic to the contemporary. They’re all premier business hotels within 90 minutes of Dublin International Airport. Each venue provides scope for a wide spectrum of meetings and events - with dedicated conference teams - and each offers something extra, whether it’s on-site incentive and team-building activities, spas, all weather sports facilities, or golf courses. The other advantage of these properties - as well as being convenient to reach, with every facility and service - is that they’re also uniquely Irish... giving a very different and memorable dimension to events of all kinds.
