June is all about London on myvenues, and we’ve teamed up with Visit London to offer a breathtaking collection of prizes in our spectacular summer competition.
1st prize is two nights’ luxury accommodation for two at the superbly stylish Cavendish
London Hotel in the heart of Piccadilly (pictured left). Here the lucky winner and
a guest will experience the ultimate in modern comfort – in a brilliant
location for the capital’s theatres, and the world-class shops of the West
End.
The 2nd prize is two pairs of tickets to see a lavish new production of
Leonard Bernstein’s Candide, performed by the English
National Opera at the London Coliseum on 2 July 2008. This award-winning
new production has already caused a sensation at both La Scala in Milan and
the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris.
3rd prize is a pair of tickets to the English
National Ballet’s triple-bill of works featuring Etudes, A Million
Kisses to My Skin, and a world premiere of Resolution, by the company’s
artistic director Wayne Eagling. The 67 dancers and symphony orchestra
will return to the Southbank Centre, after an absence of 11 years, from
2-5 July.
4th prize is a relaxing and holistic treatment session at the fabulous
Spa at Chancery Court (pictured left). Part of the Renaissance
Chancery Court London Hotel, the spa offers a truly organic experience
amid pure limestone walls, soft floor lighting and wooden bridges spanning
rippling water and pebbles.
The 5th prize, offered by Imperial College, is two tickets to the Story
of the Supremes exhibition at the Victoria
and Albert Museum, plus two entrances to an exciting new Science
Museum exhibition exploring the role played by technology in creating
post-war Britain. On top of this, the winner will enjoy a three-course lunch
for two at the fantastic 58 Restaurant on Exhibition Road.
6th prize is two Pimm’s flights on the iconic London Eye (pictured left), where the winner will enjoy a glass of cooling Pimm’s while taking
in stunning views of the capital and marvelling at the beauty of the best
of British design and engineering.
7th prize is two tickets to a show/performance at the historic Hackney
Empire, subject to availability.
