New dimensions at The Mermaid
The Mermaid, one of Londons most evocative venues, continues to expand its facilities. The latest element of its investment in the building and its infra-structure has created significant new exhibition space. It can accommodate up to 40 exhibitors with a shell scheme, or it can be broken down into a meeting space with up to 4 rooms that range from 12 150: this can be used be used in conjunction with the venues Auditorium or as stand-alone space.
The Mermaid has also created a bigger, brighter foyer which will enable clients to have better branding opportunities, as well as providing additional space for catering. Theres also a new high-speed WiFi with better connectivity - the system is fully scalable and can be enhanced, as the client demands, up to 100Mb of internet bandwidth.
Innovative living wall
During his recent press conference about cleaner air initiatives for London, Mayor Boris Johnston announced that an innovative green wall is to be installed on The Mermaid, subject to planning permission, on one of Londons busiest and most heavily polluted roads. Not only are green walls visually stunning, they also trap pollutants, removing them from the air. 'Our directors have worked incredibly hard with TFL to come to this solution and whilst is still subject to planning permission I am delighted at the outcome, and this will only enhance our green credentials,' says the Mermaids Head of Public Relations Carol Anderson.
