A new European influence has come to Woodlands Restaurant and Hotel on the outskirts of Leeds, in the shape of manager Patrice Lipatti-Mesme – whose Parisian flair has already been noticed and much appreciated by guests at the hotel.
Patrice is really an honoury Yorkshireman, having studied at Leeds University and spent 19 years working for top hotels in Yorkshire; however there’s no mistaking his Continental influence on the hotel. To celebrate its newfound success, the venue is hosting a special ‘Escape to France’ evening in the restaurant in November, which promises to be highly informative and great fun.
The restaurant is also thriving under the leadership of head chef Robert Corless, who has the ability to create dishes that can be equally enjoyed by regular business guests staying at the hotel and diners celebrating special occasions.
Woodlands Restaurant and Hotel is set in green, tranquil, landscaped gardens on the outskirts of Leeds. Originally a mill owner’s mansion, the hotel opened its doors in June 2004 and quickly established itself as a unique, contemporary and successful venue within the smart circles in Yorkshire.
Huge, vibrant canvases greet guests on arrival, contrasting with the simple white walls and sumptuous leather armchairs and sofas. A persuasive blend of old decadence and new order, Woodlands radiates a feeling of luxurious indulgence. The 18 individually designed bedrooms are each named after a particular fabric, in keeping with the building’s history.
Woodlands has filled a niche in the market for small, luxury, exclusive-use conferences, and is running a special offer throughout September and October. For more information – and for a chance to enjoy the ‘Escape to France’ event – please use the links below.
