 Event Durham, the events team at Durham University, has won the Gold Award for Business Tourism of the Year at the North East England Tourism Awards. The title is one of 16 annual awards presented by North East England Tourism, recognising the quality, innovation and performance of the tourism sector in the region.
Andrea Cairns, Event Durham’s office manager, was presented with the prestigious award by Geoff Hodgson, chairman of the North East Tourism Advisory Board.
‘I am delighted that we have been recognised for the economic benefits Event Durham brings to the region through our conference and event business,’ says Helen Strangward, Event Durham’s commercial director. ‘This award reflects the hard work and dedication by the whole Event Durham team, and our continuing commitment to providing an excellent product, supported by the highest standards possible in customer service.’
Event Durham provides a bespoke service for a range of clients looking to organise conferences or events.
