The Marriott Johnstown House: conferencing in four-star luxury

Set in 120 acres of parkland, the Marriott Johnstown House Hotel & Spa Enfield is a 126-bedroom luxury four-star hotel developed around a magnificent 1750s Georgian rural residence in County Meath, Ireland. Earlier this year the hotel added excellent new sports training facilities, since when it has hosted training camps for Leeds United, Sunderland FC, GAA clubs and the IRFU – securing its position as one of the top training centres in Ireland.

Alongside the new facilities, the hotel has long been established as a superior destination for business tourism, thanks to its unique and luxurious conference and banqueting facilities.

The hotel’s Banqueting Suite (left), with its beautiful, chandeliered ceiling, is one of the largest pillar-free ballrooms in the country, providing an elegantly spacious venue in which to entertain guests. The conference suites can accommodate parties for any number from two to 500 people for a banquet, or up to 1,000 delegates for a conference, with a private reception area and divide into two self-contained areas.

A private dining room suitable for 50 people is available in the original house, and is ideal for the smaller wedding party in beautiful Georgian surroundings. The hotel’s banqueting team will meet guests in advance, to help you plan every little detail of your event, from selecting the right menu to choosing the fine wines.

The hotel’s exclusive Elemis Spa (left) is among the best in the world, and one of seven leading Marriott destination resorts in Europe. The facilities include 18 treatment rooms, offering a unique Precious Stone Temple, hot and cold hydrotherapy, floatation tank and serial mud/milk chamber together with a state-of-the-art gym, 20-metre swimming pool, Jacuzzi and Canadian hot tub. Highly trained therapists offer guests an extensive variety of treatments to enhance health, beauty and wellbeing.

There are plenty of options for guests looking for teambuilding and outdoor activities at the Marriott Johnstown House Hotel. Teambuilding groups and client entertainment parties are catered for in a purpose-built log cabin, and activities available include extreme off-road driving, archery, clay pigeon shooting and falconry. Delegates can can also enjoy the state-of-the-art golfing simulator, wher they can play ‘virtually’ at the top PGA courses around the world.

Located adjacent to the hotel are The Residences (left). These are 40 two-bedroom self-catering duplexes in a hotel environment, offering luxurious accommodation over two floors. Each Residence has a fully fitted kitchen and a large sitting-cum-dining room area.
