MWB Meeting Venues, a division of MWB Business Exchange (MWBex), gives companies the chance to hold meetings at a variety of stunning venues across the London without the hefty price tag this would normally require.
John Spencer, CEO, explains: 'We know that finances are tight and many companies are struggling with cash-flow management so we wanted them to know that there is help available. Our dedicated meeting venues give businesses the chance to hold meetings across the capital in great locations without breaking the bank.
'In difficult times such as these it is important that we do not become downbeat. That’s why our venues are specially designed to enhance creativity and widen people’s vision. From the building where Churchill ran the war-time meetings, to some of the tallest buildings in the city, from movie set locations to Grade II listed buildings, MWB Meeting Venues offer businesses something a little bit different.'
History in the making
The MWB meeting rooms at 83 Baker Street are in what was previously known as Norgeby House. This was the secret base of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), a covert network of spies set up by Churchill, during the Second World War. From this base the SOE set about their work winning back Europe from Hitler’s clutches and protecting the mainland, and all the meeting rooms are themed around the war effort and make special reference to Winston Churchill. The décor is 1940’s themed (although all modern needs are catered for!) while tables show war maps of the time. This venue can remind companies of the history of London and the momentous decisions that have been made in meetings over the years.
Hollywood comes to London
The MWB meeting rooms in Fleet Street are in a Grade II listed building set in the heart of the famous publishing district, and the lift centre-piece was used in the recent Bond movie Diamonds are Forever. This venue encourages companies to combine the best of the past with all the promise of the future.
Childhood memories
The MWB meeting rooms in Bank are situated in St Clements House, next to St Clements Church, made famous by the children’s nursery rhyme Oranges and Lemons. This modern venue gives companies an opportunity to hold meetings in the very centre of the City.
