 Located on the shores of Lough Lein in Killarney, Ireland, the five-star Europe Hotel and Resort has reopened after a €70million makeover – including the introduction of a stunning 4,600 square metre spa complex, ESPA, which is spread over three levels.
The development also includes a new Conference & Events Centre – which benefits from floor-to-ceiling picture windows and double glass doors leading to the new garden terraces – as well as the entire refurbishment of the hotel’s ground floor.
The Europe Hotel and Resort has been welcoming guests for over 50 years, and is the perfect location for a conference, meeting, to dine or to stay. From the moment visitors cross the threshold of this luxury property they step into another world: a magnificent two-storey atrium with glass doors leads on to a garden terrace with breathtaking views of the lake and the mountains beyond.
 The hotel is located next to the Killarney Golf & Fishing Club, minutes from the town centre and easily accessed from Kerry, Cork and Shannon airports. The centerpiece of the hotel’s banquet and meeting facilities is the main conference room, which has a maximum capacity of 550 delegates. This flexible space is complemented by a suite of seminar and meeting rooms, ranging in capacity from 20 to 150, plus a boardroom (capacity 14), a dedicated conference administration area, a meet-and-greet lounge and a business ‘touchdown’ centre.
 Accommodation is provided in 188 well-appointed bedrooms – 71 Golfside rooms, 108 Lakeview rooms and nine luxurious suites. The hotel’s Panorama restaurant, with a capacity of 450, is complemented by the Brasserie Restaurant and Brasserie Bar, the Residents’ Bar, a lounge and a library. Complimentary wireless internet access is provided in all public areas and the conference centre, and the hotel offers a concierge and 24-hour room service.
The ESPA spa officially opened its doors last month.
