Business leaders need to think creatively in order to be profitable, and have some fun to escape those credit-crunch blues. To give them a helping hand, the Eureka! museum in Halifax has launched a series of playful team-building sessions where delegates can learn how to foster their creativity and develop their ‘blue sky thinking’.
Essentially a museum for children, Eureka! also offers itself for private and corporate hire. Already nationally renowned for its excellence in promoting learning through play with its hands-on galleries and exhibits, the museum is now offering bespoke team-building sessions at which delegates get the chance to remember the importance of play and to see how play can add value to business. As the Greek philosopher Plato once said: ‘You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.’
This summer and autumn businesses can choose from circus sessions (pictured), designed specifically to encourage teamwork and inspiration, through to pirating sessions, where delegates can solve problems and test their negotiation skills while building catapults and hunting for treasure.
The new team-building sessions are just part of the corporate offer at Eureka! and there are a number of fully-equipped spaces available for hire, as well as a team of event organisers who will cater for every need.
