The Commonwealth Club, a premium central London venue offering eight rooms for private meetings and events, has strengthened its event team with the promotion of Kaliopi Carras (left) to the position of event manager.
Kaliopi, previously an event co-ordinator at the venue, joined the club in September 2004, and will assume responsibility for organising successful conferences, exhibitions and meetings – and further establishing the club as a first choice for private dining functions and Christmas parties.
Other promotions at the venue include Anastasiya Reshetnikova, who has been working with the club for two years, who will assume the role of event coordinator.
Shaun Whitehouse, club manager, said: ‘It is a key focus to develop the team and offer real career progression within the club, and thanks to our continuous training we have also been able to promote Richard Smith to event administrator and Alicia Duman to events assistant.’
Home to the Royal Commonwealth Society, the Commonwealth Club has developed a worldwide reputation as a ‘centre for the exchange of ideas’ – and makes it a policy to celebrate diversity and promote education and multiculturalism.
