A £16million refurbishment programme has recently been completed at the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre – and weekend occupancy rates at the hotel have already risen by 18 per cent.
Completion of the 13-month project sees the opening of B1, a new destination restaurant, an entire floor dedicated to meeting and conference rooms, two Club floors, and the Vista Suite, which offers panoramic views over the city. All the hotel’s 312 bedrooms have also been redesigned to create a more relaxing and comfortable environment.
The hotel’s dedicated conference and meeting floor comprises 11 meeting and conference rooms in total, including the new Vista Suite which accommodates up to 180 delegates for banqueting or 300 in theatre-style seating. The Club floors contain 56 Club bedrooms and two junior suites that come with a separate lounge and dining area.
‘Birmingham is a world-class venue for business and tourism,’ says Michael Mason, the hotel’s general manager, ‘and we hope our revitalised Crowne Plaza will complement the city’s offering in an internationally competitive market.
‘We enjoyed hosting members of the Conservative party last week, and look forward to being the host hotel for other high-profile events such as the Rotary Convention and the World Half Marathon.
‘We are delighted with the positive reaction we are already getting from both corporate and leisure clients.’
The official launch event of the hotel is taking place on Thursday 13 November. For more details, please follow the links below.
