Not for the first time, the conference facilities at Henley Business School have proved themselves to be among the top echelon of the UK meetings industry, winning a Silver Award in the Best Website category at the 2008 Meetings Industry Marketing Awards on 16 October.
The entries for these awards are judged by an independent panel of meetings industry experts and leading buyers, and are keenly contested by the country’s top venues.
‘We are delighted with the recognition this award gives for our website,’ says Henley’s director of hotel and estate services, Alan Brand. ‘We developed the site to be clear, informative and easy to use, whilst providing all the essential details to make booking an event or conference a painless process, which is always a key factor.
‘To gain a Silver Award in such a competitive industry – especially when entries to the awards came from some of the largest venues in the UK, including the Barbican, ExCeL London and the Liverpool Convention Centre – is a great recognition of the work we've put into the site.’
This is the second award for the Henley Business School (Conferences) website, having previously topped the Best Website category at the Venuemasters Marketing Awards.
Henley Business School – formerly Henley Management College – was established in 1945 and is one of the world’s leading international business schools. It is set in 30 acres of parkland on the banks of the Thames, two miles from Henley-on-Thames. The Grade II-listed venue has 10 conference rooms ranging in capacity from 12-115 persons, two executive boardrooms, 34 syndicate rooms, a computer training room, and a variety of smaller spaces for hot-desking and on-demand office space.
