 Sheffield International Venues (SIV) has made two key appointments to develop its business tourism brand, SIV Conferencing and Events. Stuart Morgan has been appointed as company sales manager, and Jennie Medcalf takes on the role of business-to-business sales consultant for Ponds Forge Sheffield.
Stuart, who has extensive experience in the sales sector, has been with Sheffield International Venues for two-and-a-half years, and was highly successful in his previous position as Fitness Unlimited sales manager.
In his new role he will be responsible for the delivery of the sales targets for Fitness Unlimited and SIV Conferencing and Events, as well as working with the general manager of SIV Conferencing and Events, Dominic Stokes, to develop the brand.
Jennie has also switched fitness for business. She has been with SIV as senior sales consultant for Fitness Unlimited for a year, and is thrilled at the chance to sell Ponds Forge Sheffield’s conferencing and event facilities.
Talking about his newly created role, Stuart said: ‘I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to help develop the business tourism brand for SIV. The facilities that we have here at SIV Conferencing and Events are fantastic. Where else can you have a round of golf in the morning, followed by a meeting or conference and finish off with hospitality at one of the many entertainment shows held at our venues?’
Dominic Stokes added: ‘Both Stuart and Jennie are excellent assets to the SIV Conferencing and Events team, and I am confident that the skills and experiences that they bring with them can only benefit the business tourism brand.’
