 The Portland Spa Conference & Banqueting Centre has announced the appointment of Kathy Coward to the newly created role of national sales executive. Kathy joins the Portland Spa from London’s Harbour Club in Notting Hill, where she held the position of sales manager.
With more than 15 years' experience within the events and leisure industry – and a solid track record for increasing sales and securing blue-chip business – Kathy is highly qualified to fill this significant new role at the Portland Spa.
As national sales executive, Kathy will be focusing on the Portland Spa’s national sales campaign, working closely with venue-finding agencies and large, national companies to encourage them to visit this unique part of the country and to utilise the venue’s unrivaled facilities and spectacular location.
Kathy explains: ‘I originally come from Dorset, and I feel passionate about the area and all it has to offer as a destination to both the business and consumer markets. My main objective is to develop strong relationships with industry specialists and build a reputation that will enable the Portland Spa to become a market leader in the event venue industry.’
The Portland Spa’s managing director, Andrew Coupe, adds: ‘Kathy is already proving to be a valuable new member of the team. Her events industry sales experience, combined with her knowledge of the area and all it has to offer, are essential for this new role.’
