CCV opens fifth London venue

05 February

Cavendish Conference Venues (CCV) has opened its fifth venue. The Hallam Conference Centre in London’s Hallam Street, a magnificent Edwardian building and the former home of the General Medical Council, has undergone a complete rejuvenation programme that has seen it restored to its former glory.

The refurbishment of the listed features – both inside and outside the building – is complemented by CCV’s comprehensive fit-out of the very latest conference facilities and audio-visual presentation technology. The result is a spectacular and contemporary environment conducive to successful conferences.

‘The fascinating historical association with the General Medical Council has generated a great deal of interest among potential clients in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors,’ says Ros de Vekey, CCV’s business development manager. ‘We have been particularly encouraged by the number of enquiries we’ve received from businesses in Harley Street, for example, and all indications are that we can anticipate a successful 2009 for this new venue.’

Encompassing seven individual areas, all with natural light and air-conditioning, the Hallam Conference Centre can easily accommodate delegate numbers from 3 to 350. Accessibility and location are ideal: as well being conveniently located between Great Portland Street and Oxford Circus Tube stations, the new venue is just minutes’ walk from London’s famous shopping areas and visitor attractions.
