Dublin Convention Bureau wins sales and marketing award

Dublin Convention Bureau was the recipient of the Best Overall Sales and Marketing Strategy accolade at the recent 10th annual HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International) sales and marketing awards, held at Jurys Hotel Ballsbridge.
Jean Evans, CEO of Dublin Convention Bureau, who accepted the award on the night from RTE presenter, Caroline Morahan, in front of approximately 300 of Ireland’s top tourism sales and marketing professionals, said: ‘We are genuinely delighted to receive this award and thrilled to be acknowledged for our efforts in promoting Dublin as an excellent business tourism destination that can compete on an international scale in terms of great hotels and venues, accessibility, service excellence and value for money.
‘As a comparatively young Bureau founded in 2003 and staffed with a small team of just three people, it is particularly gratifying that we are regarded as having made a such a considerable impact in a relatively short length of time. This award inspires us to keep moving forward and we are looking forward to introducing more new marketing approaches and innovations next year as part of our overall strategy to position Dublin in the top ten business tourism destinations in Europe.’
