Dolce Sitges – an exciting and practical option on the stunning Costa Brava

Sitges has long been one of Spain’s most popular resorts for the British – a short flight, stunning scenery on the Costa Brava, wonderful weather and only 30 minutes from the unique attractions of Barcelona. With a secluded and magnificent setting by the sea, Dolce Sitges has more than 2,175 m² (23,400 sq. ft) of dedicated meeting space, all available just 25 minutes’ drive from Barcelona airport.

The venue provides exceptional flexibility for learning, teambuilding, relaxation and interaction. It has 12 meeting rooms - the largest accommodating up to 475 people – including an amphitheatre with a capacity for 60 delegates. There are also 25 breakout rooms, and a spacious ballroom. Accommodation is extensive: a total of 263 bedrooms, including Superior, Deluxe, Executive and Presidential Suite options.

All meetings rooms are spacious with natural daylight, individual temperature control, ergonomic and comfortable seating and the options of advanced data projectors, sound systems and DVD technology. There’s also a fully equipped business centre with complimentary internet access and secretarial support - and an innovative service that allows guests to receive and print documents from anywhere in the world.

The venue offers a continuous coffee break service throughout the day, and has complimentary high-speed wi-fi connectivity throughout the site.

Dolce Sitges has a superb range of restaurants and bars, including its delightful main restaurant, the Verama, on a spacious terrace area overlooking the sea. Private dining and a la carte options are available. The main bar, the Malvasia, has spectacular views, and there are other lounges and bars with equally magnificent settings.

Comprehensive on-site support

One of the most important features of the Dolce Sitges is the extensive support it provides across the whole spectrum of meetings and events. It has fully experienced and qualified teams of technicians, catering staff and conference planners, all on-site and continuously available.

Among the options available through these teams is a range of innovative optional team building activities 'Our goal is to create inspiring working environments to foster great ideas,' explains Jorge Erazo, the venue’s International Sales Manager. Spa breaks are also available for corporate events that are designed purely for relaxation.

Acknowledging increasing interest from British organisations, Dolce Sitges has an Exchange Program which offers the benefits of a preferential sterling/euro exchange rate. Booking negotiations can now be in sterling, with a fixed currency exchange rate for all new bookings. For myvenues readers, a discount of 5% of the total estimated cost of bookings is available from now until December, which increases to 7% for bookings made this year for 2010.
