Savoy Place, home of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and a leading conference venue, has launched a new club for conference agents in central London.
The IET Executive Club, which launched on 11 August, is a free service available to venue finding agents, and offers a 'home from home' with all the latest office facilities. The club has been set up in collaboration with Charles Blowfield Associates.
Club members and their colleagues are provided with complimentary access to the business lounge facilities at this prestigious Westminster venue, with breathtaking views overlooking the Thames.
Anna Clover, IET Conferencing & Banqueting Manager, said: 'The IET Executive Club allows our delegates to entertain their clients, get away from the office or simply catch up on work between meetings. Savoy Place has all the elegance and charm of a historic building, combined with modern comfortable furnishings and the very best of our 21 conference and meeting rooms.'
Benefits of the IET Executive Club include:
+ Use of the Members’ Lounge and Appleton Business Centre
+ Unlimited tea, coffee and water for members and their guests
+ Free wi-fi access
+ Table reservation facility
+ Access to free power supply
+ Pre-bookable free parking
Savoy Place was designed by Stephen Slater and H Percy Adams as an examination hall for the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Surgeons. The building was completed in 1889. The Institution of Electrical Engineers acquired the lease for the building in 1908 and today is the headquarters of the IET and a leading London conference centre. The venue recently joined the Conference Centres of Excellence consortium.
