Live Aid event organiser to speak at Event UK

29 July

The first keynote speaker at Event UK on 22-23 September has been announced as Harvey Goldsmith CBE.

The famous music promoter is best known for producing events such as Live Aid in 1985 with Sir Bob Geldof, as well as various galas for the Princes Trust and producing the first concert in 20 years to be held in Hyde Park in 1991.

'We’re delighted to have Harvey on board as a keynote speaker. He is such an instrumental figure in events today that it’s a real coup to have him speaking at Event UK as part of our free Confex Knowledge seminar programme.'

'Our educational content is always highly valued by our visitors and this year will be no different. With 23 seminars taking place throughout the two days of the show there will be plenty of insight and advice for visitors to take away and apply to their own roles.'

As well as looking at the economy, sessions will cover how to tailor your events to your audience, tips on experiential marketing, how to get the most from incentives and motivation schemes, seminars on harnessing the digital age and a session on outdoor events and exhibitions. The two theatres are Marketing & Business sponsored by Radisson Blu, and Organising & Logistics.
